I've been experimenting with natural dyes this summer and this beautiful top is a result of a laborious process! I started off with a piece of white linen fabric, I washed it and then mordanted it. I then created a dye bath using a basketfull of goldenrod from the field near my studio. Afterwards I machine washed the fabric twice with detergent to make sure the colour was really staying...and it's still sooo incredibly vibrant! Then I made this top out of it. It will fit a size small best. For reference I usually wear small, and my bust is 35" and I'm 5'4".
The top measures 19" from armpit to armpit, and 20" from shoulder to bottom.
I know this colour is a bit hard for a lot of people so I'm pricing this to sell, even though it was incredibly time consuming! I'm just happy if it ends up in the hands of someone that can really appreciate all of the work that went into it and can feel the beautiful energy of the goldenrod radiating off of this fabric!
